TESERY · Double-channel hood weatherstrip

A small seal.
A thoughtful addition.

Help keep rainwater, leaves and loose debris from passing through the gap at the rear of your hood. A shaped ABS support and rubber strip add a barrier right where it is needed.

Curved black ABS support and separate rubber sealing strip for the pre-Juniper Model Y hood.
Original-design Model YABS + rubberClips + adhesive

For all legacy, pre-Juniper Model Y vehicles. Not for refreshed Model Y / Juniper or Model 3.

Made for the everyday elements

Rain falls.
Leaves gather.
Add a barrier.

If your Model Y regularly parks outside, the gap near the windshield is a detail worth looking after. This weatherstrip fits along the rear underside of the hood, helping limit what passes through that opening.

A practical addition for owners who want to keep the area better protected from loose debris and rainwater, with a discreet black finish that follows the hood edge.

Purpose in the structure

Firm support.
A fitted curve.

Three molded ABS sections join into a support that follows the rear edge of the original-design Model Y hood. The defined channels hold the rubber strip along the assembly.

Each section is part of one kit. Assemble the support before fitting it to the vehicle.

The finishing edge

Rubber, seated
where it belongs.

The long rubber strip fits into the support channel to form the sealing edge. Press it in evenly along its length, then check the joints and ends before attaching the kit.

The two materials serve different roles: ABS gives the assembly its shape, while rubber forms the flexible edge.

Two ways to attach

Clips align.
Adhesive bonds.

Built-in clips and pre-applied double-sided tape attach the support to the matching hood edge. The backing liners stay on while you check the fit.

Once aligned, remove the liners, engage the clips and apply even pressure. Follow the supplied adhesive preparation and bonding instructions.

Fit with care

Prepare. Assemble.
Attach and check.

01 · Prepare the area

Clean and dry the hood-edge contact surfaces. Trial-fit the sections with the adhesive liners on and confirm the clips align.

02 · Build the strip

Connect all three ABS sections. Seat the rubber strip evenly along the channel and check the joints.

03 · Attach & check

Peel the liners, align the clips and press evenly. Check the fit and normal hood opening and closing before use.

Use the included instructions and the videos below. Do not force misaligned clips. Keep the original drainage and ventilation paths clear.

Confirmed compatibility

Model Y.
Before Juniper.

Fits all original-design, pre-Juniper Model Y vehicles, including the legacy 2020–2025 range.

Choose by generation. For a 2025 vehicle, check that it is the original Model Y body design. The refreshed Model Y / Juniper is not compatible. This kit is not for Model 3.

Unsure which generation you have? before ordering.

A few things to know.

Why add a hood weatherstrip?

It adds a barrier at the rear hood gap to help reduce the rainwater, leaves and loose debris passing through that opening. It is a useful addition for an original-design Model Y that often parks outdoors or around trees.

Does it make the entire frunk waterproof?

No. It helps at the hood-edge gap; it does not seal the entire front compartment or replace the vehicle’s original seals and drainage. An existing water leak needs diagnosis and repair. Continue to clean the area and keep drains clear.

Does it fit a 2025 Model Y?

It fits the original-design, pre-Juniper Model Y. It does not fit the refreshed Juniper. For a 2025 vehicle, use the body generation to confirm fit rather than registration year alone.

Can I install it myself?

The kit uses joined ABS sections, a rubber strip, clips and adhesive. Watch the assembly and installation videos, trial-fit before peeling the liners and follow the supplied instructions. If the clips or profile do not align, stop and ask for help rather than forcing the part.

What should I check after fitting?

Check that the rubber strip is evenly seated, the clips are properly aligned and the attachment is secure. Confirm normal hood opening and closing, and keep original drainage and ventilation paths unobstructed.

Is the rubber strip included?

Yes. One kit includes three ABS support sections and one long rubber sealing strip, with the clip and adhesive attachment shown in the photos.
